This petrified wood was locally found in the high deserts of New Mexico. This particular slab/chunk has very pronounced wide rings with mohagany red and brown color hues. The side grain as well is very pronounced and heavily textured but smothened by nature. Convineintly sized, this petrified wood would make a great gift, or as a decoative peice for a small shelf or work desk.
